Just to be clearer - this issue only occurs with the Sonos. The codecs are set to pcm,flc,mp3. When a AAC stream is played, faad kicks in and transcodes to PCM. When the stream is stopped, faad continues running for at least 2 mins (when cpu load spikes at about 50%). (My earlier comments about faad failing to exit were incorrect - I didn't time long enough via top) The only conf. rules in effect are the standard convert.conf file. 2 questions: Is the delay in closing faad acceptable and to be expected? Is it the case that Sonos can't utilize aac streams without transcoding? ------------------ I played the same aac stream on max2play squeezelite - there is no transcode Touch - Muse M50 EX TPA3123 T-Amp Mini - Acoustics Q10 speakers Logitech Radio Logitech UE Radio O2 Joggler + SqpOS + Aune X2 T-amp + Mordaunt Short ms-3.40 speakers UPnPBridge - 2 paired Sonos Play1 speakers UPnPBridge - Rocki - Sony SRS-BTM8 speaker UPnPBridge - Pioneer WX-SMA1 speaker UPnPBridge - PURE One Flow internet radio: PURE Jongo S3x speaker Castbridge - Chromecast 1 + Chromecast Audio SB Player - Fire TV ------------------------------------------------------------------------ castalla's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15624 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
