Is there different securtity s/w.  I haven't played around with LMS on
Windows for a few years but I know some types of security s/w used to be
slow "examining" tcp stream delaying packets or holding on to last
packets of stream so making the stream very "lumpy" to an audio
streamer.  

Also the transcode process of LMSon Windows  uses an application called
socketwrapper - which routes data between processes using Named Pipes -
many security products considered Named Pipes as routes for Trojans etc.
so it may help if you can tell your security s/w that socketwrapper is
OK and not to be subjected to anychecks
