Don't think they're the cause. DASH just uses standard http requests and
they are the same for live and on-demand.  With "chunked http" (DASH,
HLS, HDS)  many tcp connections are opened and closed as each tcp
connection just gets a short (about 6 secs) chunk of "audio file" .  I
wonder if it is a variant of the DNS caching issue that can mess up the
plugin playing HLS  streams.
