The config file is being refreshed every 30s and I guess this is the
reason for the problem you see. Assuming this is the cause, if you
uncheck the "autosave" box in the CC plugin settings, this should solve
the problem. Note that the side effect is that you will not see anymore
newley added CC players in the plugin setting page. Other than that, I
can't think of another reason, I don't do file access when nothing is
being played. Having said that, using a NAS to run applications in not
the best thing to do, IMHO. But I know lots will disagree with me. 

NB: another option is to have the config file stored on a another drive
that does not impact hibernation of the disks (like a virtual drive, but
of course, saving that file upon reboot will have to be done "manually")
