I've uploaded BBCiPlayer v1.5.1. There are two changes to 1.5.0

1. Addition of a Settings "Seconds to delay start live stream".
2. Bug fix - symptom was a delay to starting live streams.

The changes are aimed at systems (especially a Windows system with 1 or
2 cores and/or small memory 2Gb) that have difficulty playing live DASH
streams. Difficulty includes slow start to stream and rebuffering when
playing. Problems are more noticeable when playing slower 48k streams
(i.e. to test choose use lowest bitrate option in Settings)

On these marginal systems there seems to be a problem starting the
transcoding chain due to lack of audo data. The workaround fix tells
the plugin to start playing live streams with a delay so that a lot of
audio data can be fetched quickly. The stream should start playing
within 1-2 secs but it will be playing earlier content.

On a test system (old single core XP) - the 48kbps stream needed a 2 min
delay setting to start stream immediately - with no delay it will take
30 secs to start audio. The 96kbps needed a 1min delay setting.
Extrapolating a UK 320kbps stream (normal highest bitrate available)
would need a 15 secs delay perhaps a bit less.

The beta repository has the same URL

I tested HTTP1.1 with HLS - it worked with live but not with Listen
Again so HLS has not been changed.
