9. This helper is not intented to run independeantely. The Perl part has
to launch it with the correct parameters it gathers from the setup of
the connection with the iXXX device
10. the logfile should contain much more than that when you set it to
info or debug mode. Have you set the LMS logging system so that it's
persistent to reboot?
