Joe,
I wish that I could help you, but I appear to be the only active committer right now, and have to do this work on my own time in addition to my other 'free time' committments (such as family).
Right now, my focus is getting the JSR-286 RI work merged into the trunk to move Pluto toward a 2.0 release since JSR-286 is just about finished. I really could use some help with that too. Pluto is charged as the reference implementation of the Java Portlet API, so I think that the new RI should be our top priority now, IMHO.
If Pluto 1.2.0 is an itch that another committer wants to scratch, they are free to do so, but I'd hope that they would help with the JSR-286 work also (especially those on the EG).
Sorry for the rant. As you can guess, I'm a bit frustrated. I'm spending way to much time on this project than I should lately (ask my wife). Excuse me, but I have to get back to the job I have that pays the bills.
/Craig

Subject: 1.2.0 Release?
How close is Pluto to a 1.2.0 release?
We're currently using Pluto 1.2.0-SNAPSHOP in Geronimo trunk (as
mentioned in another post by Paul McMahan) and we are preparing for an
upcoming Geronimo 2.1 release.
Thanks,
Joe Bohn
