I'm not a committer, so pardon me in advance if I am stating incorrect
information.

I guess I'm wondering if there will *ever* be a 1.2.0 release? I thought
that the pluto-trunk-merge branch, once it incorporates all of the changes
from 1.2.0-SNAPSHOT and 286-COMPATIBILITY, will become the trunk. If the
versioning of the JSR 286 compliant release of Pluto is 2.0, wouldn't that
replace the 1.2.0 "branch"?

It is my understanding that hypothetically Pluto 1.2.0 would be a JSR 168
container/portal built on Java 5. Once Pluto 2.0 is released, IMHO I
can't see a need for this anymore, since Pluto 2.0 would be able to run
JSR 168 compliant applications as well. The 1.1.x branch is still a good
JSR 168 solution that maintains support for Java 1.4.2 and Servlet 2.3, so
would a 1.2.0 release be necessary? I guess what I'm saying is, for a
team like the Geronimo team, that wants the most feature-rich version of
Pluto's JSR 168 container, wouldn't the best choice be to develop against
the 1.1.x branch instead?
