Hi, I'm trying to package the podofo library and tools for Debian, and I've been reading the Debian library packaging guide:
http://www.netfort.gr.jp/~dancer/column/libpkg-guide/libpkg-guide.html I've noticed that the SONAME for libpodofo matches the release version number: {0}:~/debian/podofo/podofo-0.5.0/build/src$ objdump -p libpodofo.so | grep SONAME SONAME libpodofo.so.0.5.0 Is it intended for the SONAME to match the release version? I.e., does each release break API/ABI compatibility? -- Robert Edmonds [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
