As I get better with POE, I might consider trying to maintain windows
compatability for the base package. I've been working mostly in UNIX
recently however, so I'm not up on the lastest "features". I'm currently
trying to get my MSDN universal subscription renewed in time for the Windows
XP release at the end of this month. The new Visual Studio .NET is coming
soon too, so my current windows knowledge is getting dated very quickly.

To be honest, I'm kind of burnt out on supporting Win32 right now. I
think I hit bottom while debugging the socketpair-alike I had to write
to replace IO::Socket in POE::Pipe::Xyz... which were originally
written with Windows in mind anyway.
Supporting Windows has been like shooting worms in a tin can. It's
been more fun than a monkey full of barrels, but the satisfaction is
that much sweeter when the job's done.
