For the record: it's still the case that I've never met with or communicated
with Chip Berlet, nor have I barely thought of him since the last time this
subject came up. I just did a quick search on Berlet and discovered that he
now has a blog here:

Frankly, to indulge in a bit of braggadocio, I think political-research and my
Google Reader Shared Items page cover a much wider range of interesting topics
than Berlet's blog. He seems to be mostly focused on Dominionism these days,
and not much else. I must admit that I do agree with his views on that
subject, as no doubt do most of the readers of this list. I favor the term
"Christian Armageddonists" to describe the phenomenon.

By the way, I've never allowed Dick Eastman to post here because of this
problem he has. I think he's a sincere truth seeker with some original
insights about deep politics, but injecting any form of bigotry into these
