I have written and re-written about three replies to your last post
and the more I wrote the more I realised that most of what you said
makes sense and most of what I was writing was based on my annoyance
of your choice of title for your original post more then the facts in
hand. And so I concede defeat on many of the points you raise but not
all as I still feel that you are arguing from one view point and not
the entire picture when it comes to the view Iraqi's have of the
coallition force. While many view Iran as a biggist threat I also
believe many view the coalition as the biggest threat. And until there
are no foriegn troops on their streets (and yes that includes Iranian
troops) I don't think we will be able to fully asses the success or
failiure of the invasion. I do agree that making Iran stronger in the
region is not a good thing but don't believe that is Obama's plan, a
man who refuses to discount the possibility of using military force
against Iran is hardly backing away and handing them control. He said
himself that the "regime is a threat to all of us" which shows he
takes the situation seriously.

Just to clarify a couple of things before I finish, I am not a US
citizen but I have an interest in US politics as I believe it affects
the entire world. My belief is that the US foriegn policy has been far
too aggressive for a number of years now and there has been a
willingness to use military force, or the threat of military force
earlier in situations where in the past diplomacy would still have
been the preffered option, the obvious example being the invasion of
Iraq. With this in mind I think a change is needed and I think Obama
is more suited to bring that change then McCain. I don't agree with
everything either of the candidates say but as with all politics in a
democracy I believe you have to choose the "lesser of two evils" and
in my opinion Obama is the preffered candidate.

These are my views and I don't expect you to agree with them but as I
don't post on here much these days I thought I'd share them
