Lani ran over the cover story she had come up with. She certainly couldn't
tell them the real reason she was here, at least not yet. "The precept of the
Tokyo house, Mireon, recruited me into the Legacy a few weeks after my
brother's accident. He thought that San Francisco would be a good place to
send me. That house reminds me too much of my brother, so I agreed." she
explained. It was half of the truth. Mireon did think she would do best here.
Though Lani knew for a fact that Kai's death hadn't been an accident like the
Legacy thought. She intended to work hard here, but she would flush out her
brother's killers while she was at it.
