He turned his dark eyes to Julia, "please try to get some rest.  We'll talk about what exactly happened in there later."  There is something I must take care of right now, if you'll excuse me."    He left heading for the control room.  That journal was not going to claim another victim in his house.   Julia watched him leave and then looked at Alex.  They had been so close they could read each other without any kind of gift.  Now was no exception "Be patient with him.." was all she could offer, knowing full well Derek had no idea about what was being felt or thought at the moment.  Then she turned to Nick, wondering if he was going to insist she go to bed too or take her up on her suggestion.
