Derek had made it to the control room and was carefully collecting the loose
journal pages. Holding them by the edges, just to be on the safe side.
Though he didn't feel he was in the emotional condition to be susceptable to
the spell. But there was no sense in taking chances. Just touching the
papers was enough to set off every alarm bell in his head. A few flashes,
similar to those he got the first time he touched them occurred, except this
time they involved people other than Ria, other victims no doubt.
Derek straightened shoving the disturbing thoughts away as best he could and
started to leave the control room. He was still trying to decide the best
way to dispose of these. pages. He hesitated putting the sheets down for a
moment and unlocking a nearby cabinet. He pulled out a bottle of acid
locking the door again and then lifted the pages and carried them out. It
was then that he heard Alex calling him. His first thoughts were that
something had happened to Ria or Julia. "Yes, what is it?" He paused so
that she could catch up concern in his eyes.
