I gave him as brave a smile as I could muster, "I know that Derek, I suppose
it just got to me, seeing people I care about like that." I frowned, "let's
get this job finished," I said bending to the ashes and beginning to gather
the remains. "At least in the bay they'll be spread over a greater distance,
and ecology's over rated."
