"Then he's a brave man," Samantha replied.  "But I guess if he likes you he
has to like your crazy friends too."  She sipped the coffee trying hard to
remember why it was she wanted it in the first place.  "I'm okay," she said
with a weak smile.  "How about you?"  She though Reese was the one they
should be worried about not her.    All of this being dumped on her all at
once hd to take a toll eventually.


NM:
"Don't know yet." she answered honestly "I'm pretty sure it's going to hit
me but right now it's.. well it hasn't hit me yet."

"Weird huh?" she asked, chewing her bottom lip thoughtfully and putting her
mug down "My mind knows my mother and aunt are dead.... and that I suddenly
have a father.  But it's like a kind of... blank wall is up and keeping the
emotional backlash away."

She looked at her palms "Which, in a way, does worry me."

Reese looked up at Sam "What if it hits and all hell breaks loose?  Or
something happens...."
