~~ Later after her call to Derek ~~
Edwin had retrived the large portfolio book that
showed his work. He could never leave it behind when
he traveled. Maybe it was a subconcious act, to always
remind him of the faces he might see. In it contained
a smaller copy of the Ria portrait as well as several
others. It happened like this each time, he showed it
to no one until he showed it to that person he painted
first. He could never hide it from that person, no
matter how hard or long he tried to. Eventualy they
did, he wasn't sure he wanted to put it off. Better to
get it over with, to move on. Hopefully he wouldnt
paint another such painting for a long time to come.
He returned to the rental car when Ria had just
finished with the call. The portfolio book was about
yard in lenght and two feet wide. So needed space to
be seen. "I've this to show you.. you maybe shocked
but its as I said, unavoidable." He siad showing her
the portfolio.
