hadn't actually spoken to the man about Ria or anything else for tha matter.
He had notified London about Julia, but had neglected to mention to other
return and he'd taken great pains NOT to speak directly to Sloan, which was
something that required some work on his part. He left the question about
whether or not he'd spoken to Sloan unanswered. Ria had been made active
again in the computer system, but that wouldn't have raised any red flags,
Sloan would have to be looking to notice it.

Ria sat in silence contemplating Derek's words. She did not for minute think
he had contacted Sloan, but she did not want to broach the real subject
especially over the phone. Vaguely, she recalled him saying something about
problems with the computer, "Derek, do you need me to come . ." Ria paused
searching for the right term, she did not want to say home or Legacy as
right now both were painful "back." Derek assured her everything would be
fine but he wanted her to be extremely careful as not much was known about
Edwin and Derek had had a few other surprises dropped in his lap. At the
mention of Milo's name, Ria shrieked, "Milo! Why didn't you tell me". She
had heard both Sloan and Derek speak of him often though Derek with more
affinity and she had yet to meet the man.
