Derek glanced over at the two women noticing them for the first time. He
had no idea what this was about, but he could tell that both were on edge
about something. "Perhaps now would be a good time for the tour," he
suggested, realizing the two women needed to be away from one another.
NM:
"Not yet." Julia gave her a half grin before Derek spoke and she turned to
him, in a tone he knew well by its undertones "Spiffy. How about starting
at the second floor and coming down and then giving a run around the
gardens? No need for the third floor considering."
"Considering what?" Reese walked in just then, sizing up the situation in
less than a blink and putting her hand around her friend's shoulder and
stepping her back with the excuse of telling her the good news of Milo
coming over tomorrow to go through the Aunt's house, at the same time
listening to Julia.
"Well, there's just a couple of bedrooms up there. Nothing worth a tour."
"Oh," Reese blinked "Is that where Milo's is?"
"Actually, no." Julia answered, having gotten the news from Jonathon that
her old room was already being readied for Derek's friend "He gets my old
one. Well, it's not old but you know what I mean. Both of you get to peek
at it for the first time during the tour if you'd like."
She winked at Milo and grinned "Just remember, you have no idea how that
secret compartment with Ale got in the closet."
She looked at Derek to see if the plan she had offered was good, especially
considering the end of the tour would have them all ending up at the
vehicles and raised a curious eyebrow.
