"That's okay," the girl told her grinning, "but you could just yell like
everyone does. My mom and Derek are probably the best yellers here...well
Nick yells pretty good too." She started walking towards the house with
Julia. "What kind of stuff can I do on the computer?"
NM:
"I'll give it a try next time." she promised before straightening "But
ice-cream now! Tag, you're it!"
She had tagged her shadow out of the blue and this time watched where she
was going when she ran, just enough so that Kat was able to keep up and they
were 'running' neck and neck toward the back of the house and the kitchen.,
laughing all the way.
Michael heard the laughter and shook his head humorously. Mortals,
especially that one, he thought as he turned sideways and wondered why the
man had gotten his eye color wrong, had always fascinated him.
He looked up just then as the door started to open....
Julia motioned for Kat to take a stool once they reached the kitchen and got
a couple of bowls and the ice-cream "Vanilla or strawberry? I thought I'd
give you a mystery to solve upstairs so I can't tell you or you'll know."
