Derek:
Derek blinked his eyes trying to focus them again on the real world. He
took a deep breath and brought himself back under control, though ti was with a great deal of difficultly. "Yes," he said solemnly. "I'm all all right. He leanded forward resting his elbows on his knees and ran his hands across his face. "it was....." he didn't know how to explain it. "Just a vision," he said finally. "I'm fine," he said again, but he was not, definitely not. DerekNM:
Kristen sat back on her heels as she looked up at Derek. She may not have been around in awhile, but she could still tell when he was trying not to let anyone know what he was thinking, and in some cases, what he was doing. But, she reasoned, if she was going to be any help at all with whatever was happening, then he couldn't be keeping things to himself.
"You know, Derek, you've never been overly good at lying. I mean sure, you have a great 'game' face-I certainly won't be playing poker with you," Kristen smiled, "but you always give yourself away somehow. Like today; people just don't turn that shade of white if everything is 'fine'." she frowned, "We've got to get to the bottam of what's happening, before someone gets hurt...or worse. But you're the 'bossman', so how do you want to go about it? I could start some preliminary research...and maybe we should let the others in on this. From what I remember, Nick was always the teamwork aspect of things; maybe if we all pool together on this we can figure it out." Kristen grimaced and looked out the window. She hated not knowing things. "And maybe I'm just grasping at straws to come up with something before all hell breaks loose."
