Derek:
"Who's to say it hasn't already," Derek responded watching her closely.
"Right now, there are only a few people here. Ria and Lani, you haven't met
them yet. Julia is out and Nick, Alex and Rachel are at Rachel's house,
though Kat is here." He ran a hand through his hair. "We should start by
doing a search for anything has a pattern of causing seemingly random
problems. Look through the databases and journals." He stopping speaking
again just for a moment. "I think I saw...something similar to you're
dream." That was all he had any intention of saying for right now.

"Well, there's certainly enough of us having the same sort of visions and feelings-I don't think they can all be completey random; of course, I could be wrong...I have been known to be wrong every now and then,"  Kristen was hoping to lighten the mood just a bit.  Even with everything being off-kilter, she was hoping to see even a ghost of a smile from Derek.
"There's no time like the present," she said brightly.  "It's not all that late yet, and I'm absolutely itching to get something done--I'll be in the control room, seeing what I can dig up."  If Kristen was going to be honest with herself, she had just told Derek a half-truth.  She did want to get to the bottam of this, and she wasn't in the mood to sit still; but more importantly, she didn't want to be anywhere near going to bed.  She just wanted to avoid the nightmare for a night; after all, it had been getting progressively worse each night, and now that she was right at the subject of her dreams, there was no telling how bad it would get tonight if she let herself sleep.
