Derek:
Not long after that, Derek fell asleep himself. It was very comfortable
having Julia there. It seemed almost as though they'd been falling asleep
like this for years, which was something he had never felt before. It just
felt right and comfortable. Though the vague thought of what Jonathan would
think when he discovered Julia's bed had not been slept in at all and that
quite obviously two people had been in Derek's did flicker through his mind.
However, it was his house not the butler's, so he decided not to worry about
it.
Derek awoke to the sun shining in his window. He felt rested, though
slightly stiff and sore, most likely from being thrown around like a rag
doll by Horton the night before. He lay in bed for awhile and admitted to
himself that he was a bit shocked to find Julia there. This of course meant
it couldn't have all been a dream. He watched her sleeping peacefully for
awhile, until he just couldn't stay in bed any longer. Carefully, he slid
out of bed disentangling himself from Julia and laying her gently against
the pillows. He gathered some clean clothes as quietly as possible and went
into the bathroom. He would let her sleep a while longer. He put his
clothes down and got into teh shower turning it on rather hot and allowing
the streams of water to beat down on the slightly achy muscles.
