Derek chuckled himself, mostly because that was not the answer he had
expected from Julia.  He wasn't sure what he had expected, but that was not
it.  He kissed her gently, running his fingers through her dark hair and
then down her back.  "You know there are some people in this house who will
tell you that I don't have a sense of humor," he pointed out.  If truth be
told he rather preferred it that way.

She smiled and then made a small sound in her throat, liking what he was
doing but replying with a half whisper "That's because they don't know you
like I do...." Then she grinned mischievously "I won't tell anyone, Mister
Seriousness."

She laid her head on his chest, reflecting his touch with her own, running
her own fingers along the side of his abdomen and back again.
