Derek was fairly well lost in the moment until something tugged at him. The
unmistakable feeling of no longer being alone in the room. It took a moment
to sink in, but once it did he parted with Julia and looked around spotting
Rachel in the doorway. His cheeks suddenly turned crimson as he felt his
face growing rather hot. He felt like a teenager being caught by parents,
rather than an adult on his own property.

"Rachel...," he cleared his throat. "Are you all right?"

"Hmm?" she asked, still kind of out of it before waving her hand in
dismissal and walking slowly toward the kitchen "I smelled real food. And..
oh, yes, tea. Thirsty."

Julia, who was doing her own fair amount of blushing and ducking her head
until she got a measure of control, straightened and met his gaze in a
partially sheepish manner before relunctantly parting and then moving to
help serve Rachel some food and drink.

"Here, I'll get that for you."

Rachel wasn't even bothering to put up any kind of resistance to the help
and gave her the plate she had managed to lift before moving to sit in the
stool on the other side of Julia's "Thanks."

She rubbed her temples and groaned a little "What the hell happened to me?"
