Derek rested his elbows on the bar and regarded her for a moment, still
trying to collect himself completely before speaking.  He debated about what
to tell her, but decided the truth would be the best route.  Though  he
could easily just tell her she had a virus.  "It appears that someone has
been injecting you with heroine," he said simply.  "But you're going to be
just fine," he assured her.  "And Nick is on his trail."
