Derek:
"That sounds a bit omnious," Derek said taking the letter and clearing his
throat. He hadn't had a lecture from a woman's father in at least twenty
five years. And that is exactly what being handed this letter felt like to
him. He had the same slight case of butterflies in his stomach. His eyes
scanned the words once getting the overall feel of the letter then he went
back tot he beginning reading it for actual content. It was reather
touching in an odd sort of way.

Odd because, well...it was one of those "talks" fathers gave to their
daughters suiters. He could tell how very deeply this man cared for his
daughter and her happiness. It was clear that in the end that is all he
truely wanted for her.

The gently scrawling hand told of Julia's similarity to her mother.
Similarities so strong in fact, that Mr. Walker felt fairly certain the man
reading the epistle would be older than Julia. Though, to Derek's
amusement, there was a disclaimer in case he was incorrect. "If am
mistaken, well then everything else here still applies. So, keep reading, I
am not done with you."

Derek was able to discern that this man loved his wife very deeply and
wanted that kind of love for his daughter. No matter what guise it came in.
"If Julia picked you, there must be something to it," the letter read. "So,
I welcome you to the fold and the family." This was followed by a signature
and then a post script. "PS: Watch you're step with my little girl. Make
sure you don't hurt her and you and I will get along just fine. Oh and one
more thing....if there is any indecent behavior you'd better hope I do not
find out about it." Derek coughed slightly at this passage his cheeks
coloring slightly.
