"Not at the moment," he said putting one arm securely around her. With the
other hand, he moved her hair back. "And if I do, I'm sure we can think of
something to correct the problem," he assured her just before kissing her
neck delicately. "Was there something you wanted me to see," asked as he
straightened up and looked down into her eyes.

"Mmmhmm." she breathed, meeting his gaze and stroked his cheek before adding
in the same tone, lips curving as she added to the 'list' "And the album
too."

She turned and guided him to the bed, picking up the off-white photo album
before moving to the side of the bed and drawing him with her so that they
were both laying on their side, the book open to the first thick page and
Julia curved behind him, head propped up on her arm and looking over his
own, also propped up to view the album.

"It's something my parents made for me." she told him before smiling and
kissing his neck and reaching across his waist to flip the page to the first
entry "I promised them when they gave it to me that I wouldn't open it until
it was time."

"Time being," she murmured into his ear, looking at the album "now."

Now because, like her mother had told her, it was supposed to be something
to be shared with the one Julia had fallen in love with. And knowing her
parents, especially her father and remembering what Derek had said earlier
about whether her parents would approve or not and realizing that it did
matter to Derek whether they would or not, Julia had the feeling that the
album would answer that question for sure.

She chuckled when she caught sight of the first picture - her and her mother
in rollers again. She touched the side of her head to Derek's and kissed
his temple before mock threatening him "Remember, you tell anyone..."

She looked back at the pictures and turned the page, her fingers stilling on
the album on top of the picture of her family dressed and ready before the
ceremony and her mother bending her knees and eyelevel with her then ten
year old daughter as they looked at something in Julia's hand. An
unrehearsed or posed moment that clearly showed the relationship between
mother and daughter.

Both women had the same long, curly and wind blown hair and neither one of
them cared, the grins on their faces genuine and obviously oblivious to the
fact they were wearing formal wear.
