Derek caught the pajama bottoms and began to change, giving her a mischievous smile.  "No, I'm not going to tell you and yes, I believe I am enjoying it, though I don't think it's too much.  Just enough, but not too much."  He dropped his clothing into the laundry chute and then stretched out on his side of the bed, clasping his hands behind his head.  "It's time for bed," he informed her, "the baby is tired."

Julia chuckled and changed, happy just to see Derek smiling.  Yes he was enjoying himself, which was definitely good.

She slid under the light coverlets and sighed with a soft smile as she propped her head in hand and looked at him "Tired, hmm?"

She settled into his arms and set her left hand over his heart as they murmured to one another and slowly ended up falling asleep.  The last thing she remembered saying before sleep finally took over was that she loved him and, with a small soft smile, for him not to get used to the idea of getting her to sleep by telling her their child was tired - especially when he or she already had a bed all their own and didn't have to wait for mommy to fall asleep.

Julia woke up the next morning and figured she must be facing her first official day of pregnancy.  Instead of slipping out of bed like she had getting ready to take Kat to school she stretched sleepily and pondered staying in bed another hour or so.  Then she moved her head enough to smile at Derek's profile and was satisfied to just watch him for a while, until he started to wake up himself.
