Derek watched this scene with increasing amusement. "Don't worry, I won't
ask," he assured Julia and then took a seat on the stool she indicated. "I
will however, eat a slice of that," he said indicating the wheat toast.
Then he frowned at his coffee mug, giving both it and Jonathan a suspicious
look. He loved Julia and would do anything for her. However, the sudden
realization that Jonathan might have switched him to decaf was beginning to
sink in. He was not a morning person, never had been and depriving him of
his daily dose of caffeine could be disasterous, particularly on days when
he woke up in a bad mood.
