Derek was tempted to grumble about Jonathan's reply, after all the man
thought he needed to do a lot of things he didn't, but he held his tongue.
It was just....too early for this conversation.
"Not a thing, it's all yours," he told Julia taking a sip of his coffee. "I
have work to do in the Control Room."
Julia finished her breakfast and stood, picking up the plate and putting it
into the sink to soak before turning around "Thank you for the breakfast,
Jonathan..."
"Uh.." she blinked when he handed her a glass of milk before accepting it
"And the milk.."
"A glass three times a day, trust me, it'll be on the diet your doctor puts
you on, since you're not lactose intolerant."
"Don't get use to this." was all she said as she took a sip and then headed
toward the door, slipping her arm through Derek's to walk with him upstairs.
Jonathan just smiled after her and finished cleaning up.
"Want a sip?" Julia asked Derek once they were on the second floor "Share
with me... that way I don't have to leave too much in the glass because I'm
stuffed and only have to drink half a glass? I promise to make up for it at
lunch and you can even order me a glass tonight wherever we're going."
She held the glass with a hopeful expression before continuing "And I'll
save what I find for you to look over later. I figure I'd go get the dress
and things first then go over to the house to help Reese, come back, clean
up, take a nap and then be ready for that surprise place you won't tell me
about and call you in between just so I can flirt with you."
She was smiling by now and there was a twinkle in her eyes as she regarded
him.
"Unless of course.. you'd rather I didn't..." she added, deliberately
fluttering her lashes before chuckling.
