"No.." Alex spoke slowly, looking at Julia's still flat stomach but knowing there was a new life growing there "We can't hurt.. the baby."   She looked up at Julia, something flickering in her eyes "I won't hurt your baby, Julia.  It would make you----very sad."   Her expression was troubled at doing that to Julia.  Julia was her friend and had already been gone for so long--   Julia almost shook with relief but knew that Alex was her way out of this place and so couldn't give up yet.   "Help me get out of here, Alex." she urged her friend softly, urgently "Please help me."   If she could get out of this place, maybe get the others or get help to bring back to get them, or maybe she could contact Derek somehow and warn him....
