"Help me get out of here, Alex." she urged her friend softly, urgently "Please help me."   If she could get out of this place, maybe get the others or get help to bring back to get them, or maybe she could contact Derek somehow and warn him....   Alex looked at her, hesitating a moment and then shaking her head "I can't do that.  Mahel put you here.  He would hurt you and me if he found out you got out."   "Derek is on his way," she added, walking away and letting her hand trail over the furniture "He'll want to find you first.   Maybe he will.  If someone helps him to."   With that she left, turning to look at the vampire that had been assigned to her "I want to walk."   She then turned down the corridor, exploring.  It didn't take long to find the way up to the crypt.  She wondered when Derek and the others would get there.  She had to make sure the baby stayed safe, then she would get her sacrifice and take him below.
