"It is time." Mahel said, feeling the dark energy pulsating now. Just then
Alex entered with her sacrifice, making Mahel smile.
Derek Rayne was here. Where this one is, he thought, looking at Nick, the
other was nearby.
"Tie him up." he instructed others, a small group of three going to Alex to
relieve her of her prize and tie him up in the middle of the large den. He
then turned to go get the woman. It would be beneficial if he had Derek's
lover nearby "And I will return shortly."
His pace carried him to his personal chambers and inside, smiling drolly at
the effort the woman was still displaying in trying to get out of the
shackles.
Julia stilled as soon as he entered, watching him as he neared.
Mahel reached up and unhooked the chains, keeping her hands locked in them
as he then tugged on them and walked back toward the door "We need to get
ready for Derek's arrival. Imagine how he will react seeing you ready for
sacrifice. I hadn't considered it until now but we can make you my Sire's
first kill upon returning to us."
Julia started to pull against the chains, a sound of distress low in her
throat.
They were in the hallway now but that did not stop him from spinning on his
heel or catching her about the neck and pushing her against it.
He whispered into her ear, breath and tone low, "Do not fight me or I will
not wait until the sacrifice to kill you. Your death, no matter when it
happens, will have the same effect on him."
Julia stilled, thinking of her baby and praying Derek would get there soon.
But she wasn't scared. Worried about their baby, yes, but not scared.
It was something Mahel noticed as he moved back, looking at her before
chuckling low "You really think he's going to save you, don't you?"
"He'll save us." Julia said with quiet conviction "And then you'll pay. You
don't mess with his family and get away with it. No one does."
Derek heard something, a clanking noise, not far from where he stood and
then voices. One of which he recognized immediately. He moved along the
dark corridor slipping around a corner where he spotted them. The vampires
back was to him and he could see Julia's face over the man's shoulder. He
shook his head at her putting a finger over his mouth, signalling her to
stay quiet about his presence. He then move silently, but with as much
speed as possible until he was immediately behind the man. The tip of the
sword was placed on the man's back, where the heart was. "She's right about
that," he said his voice a low growl, almost as ferial as the vampire's own.
