Derek heard something, a clanking noise, not far from where he stood and
then voices. One of which he recognized immediately. He moved along the
dark corridor slipping around a corner where he spotted them. The vampires
back was to him and he could see Julia's face over the man's shoulder. He
shook his head at her putting a finger over his mouth, signaling her to stay
quiet about his presence. He then move silently, but with as much speed as
possible until he was immediately behind the man. The tip of the sword was
placed on the man's back, where the heart was. "She's right about
that," he said his voice a low growl, almost as ferial as the vampire's own.
"And so am I." Julia added before pushing him forward, the sword piercing
his heart before pulling away from him to put distance between the vampire
now grasping at the sword's end in a failed attempt to pull her to him and
where he would fall.
She hugged the wall as the Vampire's body fell forward and then to the
ground, only once making a sound before he 'died'.
He had laughed, as if he had had the last joke. And the sound made Julia
look at him worriedly, before looking up and launching herself into Derek's
arms and wrapping her chained hands around his neck in a quick relieved hug
before removing her hands and remaining in his arms.
It wasn't until she heard the sound of a howl that she tensed and her
thoughts snapped back to what was happening all around them.
Main chamber...
Claire had been watching the vampires hanging the man that had been brought
in by the arms. Then something happened.
Something bad.
The artifact started to vibrate and a dark cloud started to come up out of
it.
That was it, it was time to let a good one loose. And damned if she didn't.
But for some reason she wasn't the only one screaming. Some of the vampires
were yelling too.
She wanted out of here and wanted out of here now!
