Sam put an arm around Reese and walked with her out of the cell, following
Julia closely. "I don't know, I think...I think a hospital might be better.
They have those refrigerator blankets."
"If she's never been there before it'll take more time to get her
registered, tests run and half a dozen other things than it would take to
just get her to the house and dunked."
She would have said something else but an unexpected visitor jumped in,
quite literally, on them, pushing Reese and Sam aside and facing Julia with
a deadly hiss as he advanced on her.
"You're supposed to be in the main chamber," the vampire said, his fangs
protruding as he reached for her.
"No thanks." Julia swung the sword toward him, keeping him at bay.
Reese pushed herself up onto her hands and looked at the scene, fighting the
dizziness as she extended her hand and a burst of fire lanced out at the
vampire, turning him to dust.
"Nice shot." Julia said, helping them both up "Now let's get out of here."
