The commotion between Nick and Alex caught his attention and he glanced at
them, quickly turning his full attention back to the vampire holding MIlo.
"Alex," he said in a warning tone, "don't do this."
He then spoke to the one standing before him again. "This is your last
chance to let him go."
Alex smiled, keeping up the act as she traced her finger along Nick's arm
and then shoulder.
"Alex, don't do this." Nick repeated what Derek said, well aware Alex had
control again "I haven't even been keeping up with my vitamins. I'm
probably lacking iron and other things that are part of a blood sucker's
daily allowance."
