Derek watched as the vampires scattered and he did not even respond to the
demand, until he felt Nick's presence beside him. He then sswung around to
face Claire, leveling the fire thrower at her head and firing it. It was
purposely off sending a ball of fire just past her head, but not striking.
However, close enough for her to feel the heat.
Perhaps, if it thought he was crazy enough to kill Milo himself, just to get
rid of the vampire, the vampire would back off. It was worth a shot anyway.
He also hoped this would give Nick enough time to jump in.
