Derek's eyes had finally located Julia on the steps and he started towards
her and his mother, though they were not together it was the same general
direction. However, he was stopped by Megan. H
Managing a weak smile Derek shook his head. "No, it's not as bad as it
looks." At least he hoped it wasn't, he really was not in the mood to deal
with the hospital. "Mother," he said taking a step to the side and moving
towards his mother. "I'm perfectly all right," he said seeing the look in
his mother's eyes. "And I'm happy to see you."
