Derek took his mothers hand and squeezed it. He would have hugged her, but
didn't want to get her dirty. "I'll get cleaned up, but I want to visit
with you. I can rest later. "I'll be back in....20 minutes." He needed to
take a shower, change and clean up the deep claw marks on his arm. And take
a few aspirin, then he'd be good to go.
He headed towards the stairs and gave Julia a gentle smile. "Would you mind
finding me a first aid kit and some aspirin....and coffee."
