Just as Kat was trying to weasle move information out of Derek about the 
"secret" plans, when they both froze at the sound of a squeel int he 
kitcheng.

Kat jumped up and ran into the other room a worried look in her eyes.  Derek 
followed close behind her more calmly.

"What's going on," Kat demanded scared that something else bad had happened, 
but her mother didnt' look upset.
