"It's okay." Julia smiled "And I think I heard you tell something to
Kristin
about me being trouble.. but I'll save it for later. People are
hungry for
dinner.
"And I listen," she added as she set the plate down on the table,
tongue in
cheek "I just don't do what you tell me to do all the time. Big
difference."
She turned and put her arms around him "Let's get out of here and
take our
family and friends to dinner to wherever it is Nick has planned and
see what
kind of 'trouble' I can get into."
And away from Cross. Although Derek was smiling now she had seen his
expression knowing the man was there.
She didn't want to give the investigator the chance to ruin their
wedding
day and a flicker of that thought was in her gaze as she looked at
Derek as
she looked up at him "Please?"
Kristin leaned over to Philip. "I think chess will have to wait till
after dinner. I'm fairly sure they'll notice if we're not at the
restaurant." she smiled and kept her voice low "Besides, if you're
determined to win this one, it could take some time, and quite frankly,
as nice as this dress is, it's perhaps a little bit much for chess."
