Derek had no intention of allowing anyone to take a picture of him with food
on his face. So, he opened his mouth obediently and ate the cake. Then he
picked up a piece to give to Julia. After swallowing he said, "we'll see
about that, but if I don't you can be sure I will as soon as she's here." He
then held up the piece of cake to feed it to her.
"Once she's here I'm sure she's going to listen to you." Julia said dryly
before she accepted the piece and swallowing and chuckling. Their daughter
isn't going to want anything but milk, sleep and the other usuals. And
Julia could remember herself at the age when she started eating 'real' food
and how her dog helped her clear her plate when she had brussle sprouts.
She moved at an angle that the others couldn't see as she licked the extra
icing from his fingers and then kissed him with a grin "I'll save desert
until after dinner though, Mister Rayne. Never let it be said I didn't
listen."
