"I don't see a difference," Derek informed her. "All right lets go. We'll
take my car and if you don't mind perhaps Alex could drive yours." He had
his reasons for this.
She looked back at Alex "Mind taking my SUV to dinner?"
Then she turned back to Derek, knowing her friend would drive it as per
requested. She was curious why he thought her trouble... and told someone
else. Well, and she was curious about the choice of vehicles and such. So
she went along with things for now.
Jonathan came forward and picked up the plate, carefully taking the top tier
of the cake off to wrap and put into the freezer as was tradition.
"Don't stay out too late." he called out to them as they started to file out
of the room.
"Yes, mom." Julia called back to him before looking back at winking at him
"And thank you for everything!"
