"You know sweet heart,' Derek said with a slight grin as he turned towards
her. "If you are going to ease drop on conversations you should do it
properly. I said you have a knack for getting into to trouble. There is a
difference between that and being trouble." He leaned forward and kissed
her deeply. After breaking away he looked at her again. "And I wouldn't
have you any other way."
She grinned impishly. sweetheart.. "I wasn't eavesdropping.. well not
intentionally. Jonathan went off into one of his 'drink milk three times a
day' speech and I zoned out and got distracted looking at you..
Julia looked at his ring finger and her smile softened. She had wondered if
he would like it before it was time to present it. It was the mate to the
watch but also matched his Precept's ring.. and it actually matched the
wedding band he gave her in a way and she looked at it, asking curiously
"When did you sneak off and get this?"
