Derek smiled softly now.
"I've wanted you to have it for a very long time," he admitted. "It as my
pleasure to finally be able to give it to you."
He pulled off the ferry and followed Nick to the restaurant where he parked
the car beside Julia's.
"Thank you for accepting it...and for the watch and ring. They are
amazing."
She leaned to him and, lifting the hand with her wedding ring, touched his
cheek before kissing him softly "I think this is all amazing."
And she did. Being back, falling in love with Derek, starting a family with
him... and all of it when it was, for the most part, impossible for anyone
to have the chance to do. It made it all that more special to her.
She smiled a little sheepishly and slowly drew back "We better go catch up
with the others before they come hunting for us."
They others were at the front door and the valet that was going to park the
two UVs was patiently standing nearby but at a distance to give them at
least an appearance of privacy.
"But later...." she drawled with the same smile and straightened and then
slipped out of the UV to wait for him to come around to where she stood and
then slipped her arm through his.
Barbara spotted them and smiled, motioning slightly for them to catch up as
the doorman opened the front door for them.
