When he noticed Julia's hesitation, he reached out and took her hand,
squeezing it firmly. They'd come too far to stop now. However, he did turn
his hazel eyes towards the tribunal. "Is this really necessary," he
demanded. "All of this is in the records."
He had reached out with his left hand and Julia looked at the ring there,
moving her fingers in his hand so that they settled against his and weren't
trembling so noticeably, but she did straighten her shoulders and looked at
the Tribunal, continuing onto the second death.
"The second time I died was what brought me back here. We were fighting to
get Kat away from an influence that would have taken over her body. Horton
saw an opportunity and struck."
Her hand tightened around Derek's remembering who the Legacy member turned
demon struck out at and what had happened as she gave the Tribunal an edited
version "He went after Derek. We fought and in the end I was allowed to
give up my spiritual life to save Derek's and They returned me here, saying
they were righting a wrong."
