Derek caught sight of Julia out of the corner of his eye and nodded to her.
He held a hand out for her as she approached him. He was not feeling very
well at all by this point, but still trying not to show it, though his palms
had grown clammy and his skin a bit pale.
Julia was glad she had sent Nick off for the medicine but also knew not to
say anything out loud about Derek feeling bad. He was the Precept now while
the other Legacy members were there, but she squeezed his hand reassuringly
and turned her gaze to the elder Precept before nodding in quiet greeting.
