Derek stared at her curiously when she took the phone, his expression
darkening when he heard who she was calling.  Reaching out, he took the
phone from her and flipped it closed, hanging up on the party in question.
"You are not flying out there, not in your condition."

The last few days had been a strain on the Precept, this morning
imparticular, and he was still rather wound up from the entire experience.
He hadn't had a chance to hear the entire story or investigate the validity
of any of it.  Yet his entire house seemed ready jump right into another
fire, even though they were all overly exhausted and in no physical or
mental condition to deal with anything else of this magnitude at the moment.

"I will look into this further and decide if anyone needs to go out there,
but no matter what I decide taht person will not be YOU."
